Expert fangirling services since 1986.
I’ve found myself answering some questions repeatedly, so I thought this might be more expedient.
1. I just read [fanfic]. What else have you written?
Lots! Your best bet is to visit my fanfiction Livejournal. There are masterposts for all my various fandoms. It’s likely you’re asking about my Sherlock fic, and my masterpost for Sherlock is here.
I also post at AO3 and at FF.net.
2. Are you a professional/published writer?
Yes. I have published a m/m romantic thriller, Zero at the Bone, under a pseudonym. It is available on Amazon as paperback or ebook. You can also buy either here at the publisher. Wherever you’d like to buy it is fine, but true confessions, I make more moneeez if you buy direct from the publisher. I have also worked as a professional freelance writer, writing film criticism and analysis and a variety of one-shot fiction and nonfiction pieces for clients.
3. Can I translate [fic] into [language]?
Sure, go ahead! But a lot of people have already done this for various languages, mostly for “Alone on the Water.” I do not have a list or links for translations. I’d advise you to Google it up before you undertake that project.
4. Will you beta for me?
No. Sorry. No time.
5. Can I record a podfic of [fic?]
I’ve been hesitant about the whole podfic thing because I’m not sure how I want to approach it. I’d prefer it if you didn’t. I’m aware that someone somewhere has probably already done so and that’s okay.
6. Are going to write The Letter?
[Note: “The Letter” refers to a letter Sherlock wrote to John as mentioned in my fic “The Blog of Eugenia Watson” and which was partially responsible for them getting together]
Yes.
7. Is there going to be a sequel to [fic]?
Right now I have follow-ups (not necessarily sequels) planned to Genie’s Blog and to Performance in a Leading Role and possibly Senza Catene.
8. Have you thought about writing To a Stranger, or the other movies from Performance?
Yes, I have thought about it. I might actually do it. Honestly, from the parts of it that are described in the story, it wouldn’t make that great of a film. But I’ve thought about working with it.
9. Can I write a script to To a Stranger (or any of the other fake films from Performance)?
Please don’t. If anyone writes screenplays based on Performance it’ll be me.
10. Are you happy to have caused so many fandom tears and pain with Alone on the Water?
Delighted. I bathe in the fandom’s tears. Keeps me young.
